Today's the day, D.C. Momofuku CCDC will be selling pupusas.
The restaurant is offering pupusa lunch sets to go every Monday. They'll sell a limited number on a first come, first serve basis starting at 11 a.m. Customers can also buy compost cookies and beverages.
Today's lunch set ($12 for two pupusas) offers the choice of spicy sichuan brisket and cheese or spinach, hozon and artichoke. It's served with black beans and rice and kimchi curtido.
David Chang had hoped to put the Salvadoran speciality (common in D.C.) on the restaurant's menu since the beginning.
