Readers know the routine — inclement weather means restaurant discounts for Washington. Today, D.C. is coping with closed schools, a snow emergency and the federal government closed. Reports show between 4-6 inches of snow hit the region last night, and there's more cold to follow.

*Central's Mardi Gras party has been moved to Thursday. The restaurant is closed today/tonight.
*The District Fishwife will be closed at Union Market today.
*Cuba Libre will be closed for lunch but open at 4 p.m. for dinner.
*Osteria Morini will close for lunch but open at 4 p.m. for dinner.
*Zeke's Coffee is opening two hours late at 9:30 a.m.
*Water & Wall is closed for lunch today. It will reopen for dinner with Mardi Gras themed cocktails on special for $8, and Abita beer for $5.
*The Pretzel Bakery is closed.
*Trummer's on Main is closed today.
*Bayou's parade is off but they'll still be open tonight for Fat Tuesday.

Specials:
*Urbana and Poste's snow specials (available all winter long on snow days) go into effect any time it snows. At Poste, that's $15 glasses of Veuve Clicquot, and at Urbana, it's discounted snow day cocktails and $5 pizzas.
*Jackson 20 will offer snow day brunch from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and happy hour will start at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
*Granville Moore's will be opening at 11:00 a.m. for a snow day lunch and day-drinking. The kitchen will offer the full dinner menu plus an egg sandwich during the day. Regular service starts at 5 p.m.
*Chez Billy Petworth will open the main bar at 2 p.m. and will offer their Royale burger with cheese for $10 and $6 French onion soup.
*Brixton will open at 1 p.m. with $5 mulled wine, $5 hurricanes and a limited food menu.
*Hill Country has $4 hot chocolate (spiked for $8) and all-day happy hour with $3 PBR, $4 house wine, $5 house margaritas ($20 pitchers), and $5 well drinks.
*Saint-Ex will open for lunch at 11 a.m., offer happy hour drink prices till 7 p.m. and $8 Irish coffees.
*Bar Pilar will open at 2 p.m. with happy hour prices till 7 p.m.The Pig will offer $5 bourbon flights (normally $8), a $4 per pour for any of the bourbons featured in the flight, and $6 burgers (so basically, get a shot of bourbon and burger for $10!)
*Logan Tavern will offer happy hour all day at the bar and community table.
*Grillfish will have happy hour $6 draft beers and $1 local oysters available all day until 7:00 p.m.
*Commissary will play movies on the projector all day. In addition, they have half off all hot cocktails, and $4 spiked chocolates, $4 Natty Boh and a whiskey shot and $5 beef or veggie burgers.
*At Brookland Pint, kids eat free today with the purchase of an adult entree.
