Smoked & Stacked, chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley's pastrami-focused sandwich shop, is poised to open tomorrow at 1239 9th St. NW, right by the convention center.
The restaurant will operate during both breakfast and lunch hours (though breakfast service doesn't kick off until Monday). They'll serve up breakfast sandwiches served on milk bread (plus coffee to go along with them), build-your-own lunch sandwich options, and more. There are also some signature sandwiches, like a Reuben-esque "The Messy," and a smoked chicken sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. Find meat platters here, too, plus beer, wine, and a mix of sides.
Inside the space ,there are chalkboard menus, a factory-inspired smoke stack mural, and distressed wood touches, plus tables for seating.
This is chef Meek-Bradley's third project in D.C., following her projects Ripple and Roofers Union. The latest is a partnership with Geoff Dawson and Peter Bayne of Tin Shop.
