After a stint of consulting at Ardeo + Bardeo, pizzaiolo Edan MacQuaid has signed on to a regular gig at Local 16. Tom Sietsema reported in his online chat this morning that the chef who had a bit of a bumpy parting from Pizzeria Orso will be working in the kitchen of the U Street restaurant starting today. MacQuaid will be working with Local 16 chef Alex Vallcorba (a former colleague from Two Amys) on wood-burning grill menu options — like maybe a s'more pizza? [WaPo]
