Earlier this week, Toki Underground announced that one of its own had passed away and today TBD brings the sad news that it was Thang Le who passed — the much-loved chef who recently took over the reins for Toki's Chinese New Year tasting menu and was to host a highly anticipated pho pop-up this weekend. In a very nice remembrance, Kim Chi Ha writes, "He told me about places where he'd worked — Komi, Hank's Oyster Bar, Iggy's in Singapore — and about his plans, such as starting a food truck with his brother.
