The Washingtonian has a Q&A with the one and only Jacques Pépin in which he talks about hanging out with Michel Richard, José Andrés and other DC chefs whose names he forgets. But he is not a big fan of shouty chef Gordon Ramsay: "I wasn't crazy about Hell's Kitchen. ... When I saw a show like that where everyone is yelling, everyone gets terrorized, there is no way you can produce great food under that type of condition. You cannot give of yourself." [Washingtonian]
