Chefs in the Gym

cathal-armstrong-taekwondo0150.jpgWell, here's one way to work off all the weight gained from working in a kitchen: just become a Taekwondo champion. That's been Alexandria chef Cathal Armstrong's goal since he started martial arts training in March. Dining Bisnow interviews the chef who not only can lay claim to five restaurants and bars, but also a yellow belt in martial arts. They've got video of Armstrong working out and note, "he's allowed no more than 60 seconds between reps to catch his breath. If he messes up, he starts again. In other words, he's hardcore." [DBN]
