doug-hernandez-100.jpgIt would appear that San Francisco chef Michael Mina is big on DC's pastry talent: the Washingtonian reports Bibiana head pastry chef Douglas Hernandez has departed for Baltimore to work on Mina's new Four Seasons restaurants. This news comes just one week after we heard Mina tapped former Rogue 24 pastry chef Chris Ford as executive pastry chef. Apparently there was some "disappointment" at Bibiana since the pastry chef had originally quit with the intention of taking personal time — but that was before Mina came calling. Bibiana has not yet found a replacement for Hernandez. [Washingtonian]
