When Rob Weland left Poste in September, reports had it that it wouldn't be long before the chef popped up again somewhere mysterious. Well, Tom Sietsema has solved the mystery: Weland has signed on as chef at Cork Wine Bar. Apparently Weland and Cork owner Khalid Pitts hit it off when Pitts was checking references for a sous chef he was hiring away from Poste. Sietsema also notes that Weland is considering putting a wood-burning grill and plants into Cork's wine shop across the street. [WaPo]
