It was only open for a little more than two months, but today comes word that the Capitol Hill Cupcakes is closing its doors on October 30. Frozen Tropics has a letter from the owners who explain that the storefront is closing because its location is "not yet ideal for retail activity" — these are also the people behind the now-shuttered Café Roma that was in the same space. But apparently you can still order their cupcakes and they are now working on turning the enterprise into a food truck instead. [FT]
