BLT Steak's Ibérico Ham Class; Celebrities at Sprinkles

FARRAGUT SQUARE—The latest iteration of BLT Steak chef Victor Albisu's cooking classes takes place this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and will feature the mysteries of Ibérico ham. GEORGETOWN—Celebrities love cupcakes and so should you? Well, maybe not, but if you do like celebrities and cupcakes, actress Kerry Washington is going to be "greeting and serving fans" at Sprinkles on Saturday at 3 p.m. This is all part of a fundraiser for the organization Americans for the Arts. Sprinkles will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of its red velvet cupcakes to this organization for one week beginning October 29. [EaterWire]

PENN QUARTER—Also this weekend, Poste is hosting one of its popular roasts, and this one will have a Halloween theme. FOOD TRUCKS—Food Truck Fiesta notes that tomorrow is yet another edition of Truckeroo and it is also the very last Truckeroo of the year.
