Jess Voelker jumps right into her new gig at The Washingtonian with a follow-up on this week's news that Rob Weland has signed on as head chef at Cork Wine Bar. When Weland departed Poste back in September, he made some vague mentions about opening up his own restaurant. And even though he'll have his hands full at Cork now, Voelker confirms that, yes, the chef is still going forward on opening up his own place — as well as with the book project he had mentioned.
