DUPONT CIRCLE—Urbana has partnered with the Phillips Collection to celebrate its new exhibit, "Degas’s Dancers at the Barre: Point and Counterpoint." Starting now and continuing through January 8, the Dupont Circle restaurant and wine bar is offering a special "Degas's Dance" cocktail inspired by the collection, plus a three-course prix fixe menu available for $50. The meal includes your choice of appetizer and entree, plus an amuse bouche, the specialty cocktail and sugar plum ice cream. Also, all those who have purchased tickets to the museum's exhibit get a free cocktail or glass of wine with the purchase of an entree, from which one dollar will be donated to the Phillips Collection. MCPHERSON SQUARE—Tis the season of all things pumpkin and, accordingly, Lincoln rolled out some new pumpkin-related menu items yesterday that include but are not limited to bacon-wrapped pumpkin lollipops. The mixology team there has also created some pumpkin infusions. [EaterWire]
SHIRLINGTON—The Capitol City Brewing Company is hosting its 12th annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest Beer Festival on Saturday at the Village in Shirlington. Starting at noon, they'll have brats, sauerkraut and more than 40 breweries on hand to give out samples. Admission is $25, which includes 10 drink tickets and a tasting glass, but you can of course purchase more tickets. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN—Also getting into the Oktoberfest action is Central Michel Richard. They'll have Hofbrau on tap and will be running a "Nuggets & Beer" special all month — pairing the restaurant's chicken nuggets with a 22-ounce bottle of Goose Island Brewery's Pepe Nero. [EaterWire]
U STREET—Prince of Petworth notes that the Bella Cafe on Florida Avenue is now something called the Climax Sports Bar & Lounge. And then the jokes began in the comments. [PoP]
ROSSLYN—ARLnow reports that there was a kitchen fire this morning at Cafe Asia. Apparently it was "quickly extinguished" and there's no word yet on the aftermath. [ARLnow]
