MT PLEASANT—Oh sad. Solid Korean carryout Adam Express is temporarily closed for the next couple of weeks while the super nice owner/couple returns to Korea for medical reasons. A Prince of Petworth reader notices a sign on the window that explains the wife fell sick suddenly and that they hope to reopen on December 12. [PoP]

BOOZE NEWS—Time for even more District-brewed beer, this time courtesy of a company called Hellbender Brewing. They tell DC Beer that they intend on opening a brewery in Northeast DC sometime in the first half of 2012, though they haven't exactly found a location yet. [DC Beer via Borderstan]

FOOD TV—Everyone just moved one degree closer to reality-fame as chef Allison Sosna of the DC Central Kitchen appeared on the Food Network's Chopped last night. She didn't win, but took it all in good sport, tweeting that just being on the show was in itself "a great experience." [Twitter]
