Chef Robert Wiedmaier announced a couple of weeks ago that Blue Duck Tavern's Brian McBride is joining his team and that, together, they're going to open a new restaurant for McBride. In an online chat today, he shares some details with The Washingtonian: "We're planning a restaurant in 2013, a whole animal butchery concept. Very rustic. We want the customer to come in and feel they're in a place where we're using whole local animals. ... You're going to walk in and see the market — all the animals and birds — and in the back there'll be the restaurant." [The Washingtonian]
