News broke last month that Michael Landrum had temporarily closed Ray's the Steaks at East River with the intention to "reformat," but it was unclear what that reformatting would look like. The City Paper follows up with the restaurateur today, who is still vague but indicates that the newly opened Ray's to the Third in Arlington will inform what they'll do at East River. He also accuses the Post of "deliberately misleading insinuations" for speculating whether the temporary shutter might turn into a permanent one when originally reporting on the story. [WCP]
