Sorry U Street people, but you will not be getting your Teaism location after all. Prince of Petworth reports this morning that the shop could not secure the financing to open their fourth location at 12th and U Streets after signing the lease in June. But what's U Street's loss is Alexandria's gain: a new lease has been signed out in Old Town (where things are a little more affordable) and the plan is to open on March 1. An employee at Teaism tells Eater that the Old Town location will be on N. St. Asaph Street "near the Trader Joe's." [PoP]
