WINE WIRE—So it appears that Hillary Clinton's chef liked the sparkling wine he tasted at Washington State's Treveri Cellars so much that this will be poured at all the receptions the State Department hosts this holiday season. Seattleites are very excited about this and would like California to officially suck it. [Eater Seattle]
CRYSTAL CITY—If you like Indian food and you also like Italian food, you might want to check out the Indian-Italian fusion night at Crystal City's Cucina Vivace tomorrow evening. Pritha Mehra, owner of the Mystic Kitchen cooking school, is joining chef Gordon Vivace in his kitchen for the $69 prix-fixe meal. Among the 10 courses on the menu will be papri chaat, tandoori chicken pizzetti, raja's cannelloni and spaghetti keema bolognese. More information here. [EaterWire]
LOGAN CIRCLE—Also, if you like art and you like bars with bocce courts in them, you might be interested in the event Black Jack is hosting Saturday afternoon with Clark Whittington, creator of the Art-O-Mat vending machine that the restaurant boasts. He'll be there answering questions about selling art through a vending machine (oh, and his organization) from 3 to 5 p.m. [EaterWire]
ATLAS DISTRICT—There will be baked goods aplenty at the H Street Bakes sale on Sunday afternoon. Vendors will set up shop at the H Street Country Club with Thanksgiving-y foods like bourbon pecan pie tart, pumpkin cheesecake and more, but Crunkcakes will also be on hand with their alcoholic cupcakes. This all gets started at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 2:30 p.m. [EaterWire]
U STREET—Prince of Petworth reports that you may now sit inside when you dine at the Greek Spot at 11th and U streets. But there is still no table service. [PoP]
