The Standard just announced that it'll close for the season on December 5 and now there's more bad news for bar-goers today. The Going Out Gurus report that Bar Pilar is also set to temporarily close its doors after this coming Sunday, November 27 — and might very well remain closed through the remainder of the calendar year. Of course, this is all so that the bar can complete construction on its second-floor expansion, including the addition of a staircase. [WaPo]
