Here's a fun lede from a Black Friday shopping mania story: One woman was so intent to get into the Columbia Heights Best Buy that she ate Thanksgiving dinner in line, where she waited for nine hours. Patricia Peart held the spot while her friend Kelly Corbin brought her the dinner: "The strategy paid off — Ms. Peart enjoyed good home cooking; Ms. Corbin got a spot in line that Ms. Peart saved for her; each ended up with a 42-inch Sharp LCD television for only $199." This is apparently a thing that people do because TVs are very important. [Washington Times via NCH, KSFM-TV]
