Enzo Fargione officially returns to a Washington, DC, kitchen this evening as Elisir opens as planned in Penn Quarter. The restaurant will offer a seven-course menu for $75 and 10 courses for $95, with limited a la carte options. Eventually the bar will host its own four-course menu inspired by New York's Gramercy Tavern. Lunch, meanwhile, will be all a la carte except for at the bar where $19 will get you an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. Notable also are the five TV monitors located throughout the dining room that will display Fargione's every move in the already open kitchen.
Unfortunately for any would-be diners, however, Eater hears that the dining room is all booked up for tonight. They are, however, accepting walk-ins at the bar as of 6 p.m. If you go, please send all early reports this way.
