Might Shaw's Tavern be resurrected from the dead sometime soon? The City Paper reported this morning that a new owner Siya Sadeghi introduced himself last night at the local Advisory Neighborhood Commission meeting in which the ANC endorsed his application for a stipulated liquor license. Sadeghi formerly owned Axis on U Street and is pulling in Joel Hatton from Leopold's Kafe to work as the tavern's new chef. You know, if this thing actually happens. It still has to go before the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. [WCP]
