Here, let's squash a rumor before it even gets started. Eagle-eyed people scanning the newly launched Popularise might have noticed that one of the ideas for a vacant H Street building is a "paella bar" — posted by Rob Wilder of José Andrés' Think Food Group. So are they seriously considering an expansion to the rapidly growing Atlas District? A rep says that while the restaurant group is always open to new ideas, "H Street is not on our agenda at all" — Wilder is friendly with the website's founder and he posted as a gesture of support. At any rate, the Think Food Group is already pretty busy in 2012 with expansions to Miami, Puerto Rico and that Jaleo renovation plan. UPDATE: Well, maybe there's some hope for you yet, H Street.
