Best of 2011

The Washingtonian's critic Todd Kliman released an end-of-the-year listicle this morning describing his top dining memories of 2011. Rather than picking all the four-star restaurants in town, this list is far more personal and includes the takeout sushi the critic ate in the hospital when his son was born and a ham-and-cheese sandwich on a homemade pretzel roll that his mother makes for their monthly book club. It's a nice (and revealing) read so do go check it out. [The Washingtonian]
