In more upcoming 14th Street restaurant news, EatWell DC has finally named a chef for its next venture, The Pig. They've poached Garret Fleming away from Lincoln to serve as chef de cuisine under the restaurant group's executive chef Billy McCormick. According to The Washingtonian, Fleming now "will be traveling to Sicily to research techniques at traditional salumerias" — as you might recall, The Pig is aiming to be a chef-centric, nose-to-tail restaurant that makes its own headcheese, sausages and more.
