Amid all the best-of listicles floating about at the end of the year, the City Paper's Chris Shott goes negative instead with a list of his top 10 most irritating food trends of the year. As you might expect, they include small plates, foams and gels, chef reality shows and, of course, cupcakes, which became a food trend long before 2011 rolled around: "Who are we fooling?
