TYSONS CORNER—Tomorrow marks the debut of a six-course Jean-Louis Palladin menu over at Michel in Tysons Corner — featuring things like foie gras terrine with black truffle pasta and roasted duck breast with date puree — all meant as tribute from chef Michel Richard to his departed friend. This menu will be available from December 6-10, with some of the dishes being incorporated into Michel's regular menu throughout the month. Added bonus? The restaurant is going to be selling a limited quantity of Palladin's 1989 cookbook for $50. [EaterWire]
EVENT PLANNING—All three DC-area locations of Jaleo kick off their annual Clementina celebration this evening in honor of the "Christmas orange." The two-week festival will feature special clementine-centric dishes and cocktails. More information available online. [EaterWire]
U STREET—Because what is a holiday party without booze — and, more specifically, booze in punch form — the theme of this week's Food and Folklore event at Eatonville will be holiday punch. They're bringing in Room 11 mixologist and author of The Punch Bowl Dan Searing to prepare four punches and share their history. Yes, there will also be dinner at $45 a head. Reservations are required and can be obtained by calling 202-468-3792. [EaterWire]
PENN QUARTER—Now that chef Dennis Marron is all set up over at Poste, the restaurant has debuted a brand new menu that tracks more on the brasserie side of things. There are tete sliders, an onion soup burger, handcut fries, French classics and a section on the menu devoted to all things pig. [EaterWire]
DUPONT CIRCLE—Prince of Petworth reports that the Cosi location in Dupont has temporarily shuttered to remodel. [PoP]
