OLD TOWN—The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian Christmas Eve tradition, but why should you have to wait until December 24? Old Town Alexandria's Vermilion begins serving their rendition of the dinner tomorrow evening through December 30. The feast will set you back $75 per person and includes things like lobster tortellini, Atlantic squid and a duo of line-caught swordfish. Plus, of course, there will be desserts from Tiffany MacIsaac. [EaterWire]
ATLAS DISTRICT—The Big Board is hosting a Chocolate City beer dinner tomorrow evening at 6:30. The theme to the dinner, beyond beer, is fast food. This means they'll be serving chef Mike Lunsford's take on In-N-Out's Animal-style fries, plus things like veal sweetbread "McNuggets," a Bojangles Fried Chicken Box and even a choco taco for dessert. All this can be yours for $60 per person. [Facebook via @theHillisHome]
AWARDS SEASON—Wildcard nominations are open for the Washington Post's DC Tweeps contest that seeks to name the area's favorite tweeters. The paper has already nominated candidates for categories like food trucks, foodies and restaurateur — a category whose nominees include last year's winner Spike Mendelsohn, José Andrés, Dean Gold, Co Co Sala's Bharet Malhortra and the Argonaut's Scott Magnuson.
