LOGAN CIRCLE—On Monday evening, Birch & Barley is hosting a holiday tasting dinner to accompany a sampling of seven Christmas-type beers. But the menu is going to be chef Kyle Bailey's take on a traditional Christmas dinner. There will be the Dickens-esque boiled goose with brioche chestnut and sage stuffing. There will be a chop suey stir fry served over potato latkes for all the Jewish people who eat Chinese food on Christmas and there will be tagliatelle with duck meatballs in honor of Festivus staple spaghetti and meatballs. There are still a few seats available at $45 per person that you can snag by calling 202.567.2576. [EaterWire]
BETHESDA—The man himself, José Andrés, will be at Jaleo's Bethesda location tomorrow evening signing books and being charming and amusing. If you're not a superfan who already owns his cookbook, it'll be available to purchase there. Andrés will be signing from 6 to 8 p.m. [EaterWire]
NOMA—Todd Gray's Watershed will once again be hosting a Friday evening roast at their place for neighbors and you non-neighbor-type people, too. This time it will be a game roast with things like cider-brined game hen and pheasant. It gets underway at 7 p.m. and costs $75 per person. Make reservations by calling 202.534.1350. [EaterWire]
DUPONT CIRCLE—The Washington Business Journal reports that a smaller version of Asian chain Pei Wei will open in Dupont Circle. It will be mostly takeout. [WBJ]
