The Washingtonian's intrepid reporter Anna Spiegel gets a straight answer out of Tom Powers, who revealed yesterday he was changing the name of his forthcoming restaurant from Velour to Herringbone. The reason is this: He did not want anyone to confuse his restaurant with a porn star named Monica Velour. But, as Spiegel points out, "it’s not outside the realm of possibility that there’s a porn star named Herring Bone out there." [The Washingtonian]
