As part of their Food and Folklore series, Eatonville will be hosting historian Jessica B. Harris on Wednesday to discuss her book High on the Hog. The U Street restaurant will serve a $45 three-course menu that includes West African shrimp and spinach soup, curried goat and banana fritters - perfect accompaniment to a discussion of the development of African-American culinary traditions.
