1) Columbia Heights: Chef Jamie Leeds confirms that her gastropub CommonWealth will close at the end of this month, telling Tom Sietsema that her landlord made her an offer she couldn't refuse. But pub fans need not despair: New owner Terry Cullen (also behind Lou's City Bar, which is currently under construction in the same complex) plans to expand the bar area yet maintain the pub theme. Meanwhile, Leeds will turn her attention back to her original Hanks Oyster Bar location in Dupont Circle, where she has bought the neighboring brownstone with hopes to expand the seafood restaurant. 2) Adams Morgan: Toledo Lounge owner Stephanie Abbajay confirms the sale of the Adams Morgan bar to a trio that Prince of Petworth says includes the current owners of Ventnor's Sports Cafe and the Black Squirrel. Toledo Lounge has been an Adams Morgan institution for 17 years, and Abbajay says she is confident the new owners "will keep the Lounge spirit alive." [Prince of Petworth]
