To Catch A Critic

Another entry to the fray today on the touchy subject of anonymity in food reviewing, sparked by last week's online chat with Tom Sietsema. When the critic wrote that he doesn't like being recognized but can't do anything about it, a chatter pointedly replied that Sietsema could, in fact, do something about it. He could quit. The Washington City Paper rises to Sietsema's defense today, though, pointing to Eater National's interview with Saveur's James Oseland who said the "days of absolutely anonymous reviewing have maybe come to pass."
