DC As Culinary Destination

The City Paper follows a Georgetown food tour this week and discovers that we're slowly but surely becoming a food destination. Though travel writers doubted food tours would ever do well here, an influx of celebrity chefs, reality TV and Obama date nights have resulted in rising profits for the tour companies. So while groups of tourist tromping through your favorite restaurant might seem annoying, take heart: they're an indication of DC's rising rep as a culinary town. Silver linings? [WCP]
