DUPONT CIRCLE—It's been in the works for awhile, but Hank's Oyster Bar will officially double in size this May as it takes over the brownstone next door. Not only can we expect a new bar and lounge, but also an expansion of the restaurant's outdoor seating. If only it was ready today. [EaterWire]
DUPONT CIRCLE—A new pizza place has cropped up on 17th Street and Thrillist has the menu. Pizza No. 17 has got nine different pies to offer from your standard Margherita to the Meat Express (prosciutto, salami, pepperoni). They've also got some organic wines and a pretty nice beer selection. [Thrillist]
CHEF LOBBIES—VOLT's Bryan Voltaggio was up on the Hill with some fellow chefs yesterday for a Farm Food Voices event intended to lobby against tight regulations on small farms. The former Top Chef contestant spoke at a reception held in the Russell Senate Office Building's Kennedy Caucus Room, and he even got a sweet pic of himself at a Senate lectern. [Twitter]
