The Source Retools Saturday Brunch To Focus On Dim Sum

The Source by Wolfgang Puck is ditching the Saturday brunch menu that it launched just last year, focusing instead on the dim sum that had earned raves. While the original menu had a dim sum platter full of dumplings, shu mai and spring rolls, starting this weekend the Chinese-inspired dishes are going to come on their own small plates — either $7 a la carte or $30 for five dishes and $40 for eight.

Yes, make no mistake: This is a fancypants dim sum. Rather than the traditional dim sum experience where diners grab an order of chicken feet off a passing cart, servers will be bringing the dishes to you. The menu includes crystal chive dumplings with king crab and Chinese mustard (among other dumpling varieties), buns stuffed with slow-braised veal cheeks, duck or pineapple custard, spring rolls, noodles and General Tso's wings. There's also going to be a few classic dishes on hand for those not so into Asian flavors.
