SHAW—Yesterday we learned that a new tavern is set to open in Shaw, and today our pals at Curbed DC have the floor plans for the rental units above the restaurant. This makes for some mighty convenient takeout. [Curbed DC]

ALEXANDRIA—Old Town's Jackson 20 recently launched a new specials program offering up some cheap late-night weekend eats. Thursday through Saturday evenings you can get select bar menu items (like tots or BBQ pork sliders) for only $5. If you're a little hungrier that that, try one of the $20.11 menu options like all-you-can-eat ribs or the burger-and-a-beer combo. [EaterWire]

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS—The owner of the new restaurant moving into the old Social space has some very detailed plans and a penchant for anonymity. Prince of Petworth talks to the mysterious owner and discovers a Paul Newman/Steve McQueen-themed bar, and diner fare that can be — wait for it — delivered to Columbia Heights residents. No name yet, but May 1 is the target opening date. [PoP]
