Over Before It Started

shirt%20laundry.jpgIt's time to start coming up with new ideas on how to make use of that giant old laundry building on 14th Street because it looks like it will not become a pizzeria as planned. Whisk Group owner Mark Weiss tells the Washington City Paper that he's backing out of the Italian Shirt Laundry project that had already cost him more than $50,000 — with a lot more renovation work in sight. In other news, the restaurant group (which owns Againn and other concepts) has settled with its architect over unpaid fees "for a sum less than $125,000." [WCP]
