1) North Bethesda: Florida-based chain Seasons 52 opens up the first of its two forthcoming Washington area locations today across from the White Flint Mall. The health-conscious grill and wine bar offers a "seasonally-inspired" menu featuring dishes like a cedar plank roasted salmon, Sonoma goat cheese ravioli in a light tomato broth, organic salads and mini desserts — with no single dish exceeding 475 calories. Ben Erjavec from Baltimore's Oceanaire kitchen executes culinary director Clifford Pleau's vision, complemented by an extensive wine list from master sommelier George Miliotes. Seasons 52 also offers nightly entertainment in an expansive lounge. Status: Opens for lunch service today at 11:30 a.m. 11414 Rockville Pike; website [EaterWire]
2) Farragut Square: Upper Crust Pizzeria will officially make its first appearance outside of the Boston area tomorrow, opening on Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and the World Bank. The menu of thin-crust pizzas has been retooled to reflect DC's own idiosyncrasies. The FLOTUS is topped with spinach, broccoli and feta cheese, the Senate is a porky meat-lover's pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage and hamburger and the Georgetown special is veal parmesan. Four beers are on draft with another eight in bottles and a fair selection of red and white wines by the bottle and glass. This marks just the beginning of an invasion: Look for another 10 locations popping up in the DC area in the next year or so. Status: Opening tomorrow. 1747 Pennsylvania Ave., NW; website [EaterWire]
3) McPherson Square: Lunchtime is the word for the official opening of the Lincoln restaurant, serving American seasonal small plates. Check back in with Eater for a glimpse inside later today. Status: Opens at noon. 1110 Vermont Ave., NW; website [EaterWire]
