If you didn't have the cash flow to eat at L'Auberge Chez Francois every weekend, the Post has some happy news for you today. The family-run fine dining institution opened a 30-seat brasserie below the formal restaurant this past weekend in an effort to be more approachable. Prices for the tartes flambées, hanger steak and trout with almonds hover around $15 to $26 — already a far cry from the $62 prix-fixe menu. [WaPo]
