The people have spoken, and the best fast-casual burger you can get in DC is from Good Stuff Eatery. So today let the madness continue! The next category at hand is the gourmet burger and our contenders include Palena, Central and BLT Steak. To answer some lingering questions from yesterday's vote, we'll reiterate from our initial announcement that competing burgers were chosen by reader recommendations and Eater's super-secret nominating committee. Categories, as we said, are "made-up but essential." And remember: the winner from each category will go on to the Best Burger in DC competition, and the winner of that will go on to Eater National to find out, truly, who is the greatest burger of them all.
