Quick update on H Street's new British gastropub: The Queen Vic soft-opened with a limited menu last week and is officially open today — but still with that limited menu. The weekly Sunday roast starts this weekend (April 10), but the weekend after that is the whole shebang: Not only will the bar be open for weekend brunch, but it also debuts its full menu from chef Adam Stein that includes British favorites like cornish pasties, steak & ale pie and butter chicken. Unlike a lot of other pub fare, they're doing all their butchery in-house using 100 percent local grass-fed beef. And in the not-too-distant future, Anglophiles can look forward to getting their Maltesers, Marmite or Heinz salad cream fix at the gastropub's own tuck shop. H Street is growing up so fast.
