Piola Heading To U Street; Chef Shuffles In Cleveland Park

U STREET—The Washington Business Journal says that Italian chain Piola adding to its DC-area outposts and opening up on U Street this fall with its pizzas, pastas and salads. [WBJ]

CHEF SHUFFLESLogan Cox is heading to the kitchen at Ripple at the end of this month, according to the Washington Post. Current Ripple chef Teddy Diggs is relocating to Martha's Vineyard. [WaPo]

LOGAN CIRCLE—In more furlough news, Helix Lounge is offering a happy hour special for the duration of the shutdown should it occur. Just $9 will get you a can of PBR along with a fried chicken po' boy sandwich, a side of waffle fries and truffle aioli dipping sauce.
