Serendipity 3 To Open Next Week; DC Grey Market Returns

GEORGETOWN—Yet another New York import will open its doors in DC soon. According to The Feast, Georgetown will get a first crack at Serendipity 3's frozen drinks and foot-longs sometime next week. [The Feast]

EVENT PLANNING—This Saturday also marks the return of the DC Grey Farmers Market. The market, which allows unlicensed vendors to sell their wares, will take place at Local 16 from 12-4 p.m. White House Meats will hold a closed meat auction in the main lobby, too. [EaterWire]

COLUMBIAClyde's of Columbia is hosting a craft beer tasting festival on Saturday, featuring brews from the likes of Allagash, Flying Dog, Oskar Blues and Unibroue. They'll also have a selection of Clyde's food like pulled barbecue pork sliders, cheeseburgers, bratwurst, fish tacos, fresh fruit and more. Each tasting ticket will run you $2.50 — and one ticket will get you a 4oz beer tasting while two tickets will get you food. The fest starts at 1 p.m. [EaterWire]

ADAMS MORGAN—The City Paper gets some details on the booze that's going to be in stock at Jack Rose: 2,700 brands of Scotch, 20 taps featuring microbrews (and Miller Lite), a beer den with cask ale and more than 20 cans. You may want to schedule a detox to follow their early June opening. [WCP]
