José Andrés Wins Award; McCormick & Schmick's Shuttering?

AWARDS SEASON—Congratulations are in order to one Mr. José Andrés. The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington named Andrés the winner of this year's Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award at an event last night. The award honors industry members who have "contributed to the success of Washington’s vibrant restaurant scene" and is part of the RAMMY awards gala set to take place on June 26. [EaterWire]

BETHESDA—This Maryland outpost of the McCormick and Schmick's chain may or may not be shuttering soon, according to Bethesda magazine. The space is up for rent and the company has announced that it "would be receptive to sales offers." [Bethesda]
