1) Columbia Heights: Eater checked in on the bar set to take over the old CommonWealth space, where some serious construction is underway. Owner Terry Cullen says they just put in new wood floors and there are plans in the works for a new marble bar top. 2) Crystal City: Yet another new barbecue joint for the DC area on the way. ARLNow spots an ABC permit application for Memphis Barbecue in the spot recently abandoned by Mackey's Pub. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
3) Bloomingdale: A tipster gives Prince of Petworth the news of Bacio Pizzeria coming soon to the neighborhood in Rustik territory. [PLYWOOD]
4) Ballston: There's no opening date yet, but ARLNow says we can expect one soon for the second location of Buzz Bakery. [PLYWOOD]
