In the spirit of Mother's Day, the Washington Post talks to four new moms about how they balance motherhood with life in the restaurant industry. Like any working mom, Carly Prow (Restaurant Eve), Nadine Brown (Charlie Palmer Steak), Ari Kushimoto Norris (Kushi) and Diane Gross (Cork) have to deal with time crunches, but also enjoy some flexibility. As Gross explains, "Restaurants are hard, because of the hours and how much you work. But you can bring your baby to work, and as long as he’s not screaming, everybody thinks he’s cute and nobody really cares." [WaPo]
