Outdoor Seating For Kushi; Columbia Heights Mexican Fare

MT VERNON SQUARE—DCist notices a sidewalk seating permit on the window at Kushi. The izakaya applied for the permit back in February and hopes it comes through "before it gets cold." [DCist]

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS—New Columbia Heights gleaned some details on Jackie Greenbaum's Mexican restaurant coming to the 11th Street strip from a civic association meeting. The unnamed restaurant already has a liquor license and will begin the build soon, with hopes to open in July or August. Click through for some menu details, too. [NCH]

BOOZE NEWS—New local brewery, the 3 Stars Brewing Company, is releasing a beer at the end of May not from their DC digs but in collaboration with a Delaware brewery. According to the City Paper, they're still working out details on their lease in Takoma, but hope to have some local brew out by November. [WCP]
