The City Paper reported last night that big-name Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr is heading to DC in a big way. The paper said that Starr is not only bringing a casual version his French brasserie Parc concept to 14th and Q, but he's also bringing a rendition of Buddakan — a concept with popular locations in Philly, New York and Atlantic City — to the Adams Morgan Marriott. This morning, Starr confirmed the reports about Parc to Grub Street, saying that, "The property is in an emerging neighborhood, and we think it’s going to be a good market for us.” Starr didn't confirm the exact location, but he generally describes a corner spot with broad sidewalks. And he also makes an interesting claim about the DC restaurant scene, saying the bistro's location will be "unusual for Washington, because it's not in an office building." No word about the AdMo project, through. Stay tuned.
