WEST END—Tomorrow, as usual, the Westend Bistro will be opening up its patio pop-up barbecue stand. But, in a departure from the norm, chef Joe Palma has invited two food trucks — including one potential competitor — to park in front of the restaurant for a mini food truck festival. Both Carnivore BBQ and Cupcake Buggy will be on hand from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow next to the Eric Ripert restaurant's patio. All net proceeds from the afternoon will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. [EaterWire]

MOUNT VERNON SQUARE—The Feast reports that Mandu's unofficial late-night bar menu is now official. But where the late-night eats were once somewhat of an adventure — whatever the chefs happened to have on hand — now you'll have the choice of bulgogi tacos, pan-fried dumplings, kimchi quesadillas and Korean fried chicken. SHAW—Specialty food shop Seasonal Pantry opened in Shaw and Prince of Petworth has your pictures of the shelves lined with artisanal ingredients and an ice cream case filled with salted caramel and strawberry shortcake flavors. [PoP]

SILVER SPRING—Bethesda magazine tries out kathi rolls (sandwiches), samosas and mango lassis on order at Silver Spring's new food truck, Rolls on Rolls. The truck and its Indian street food works both lunch and dinner shifts at the Gulf station at the intersection of Colesville Road and Georgeia Avenue Monday through Friday. [Bethesda]
